The Lower CT River Valley Council of Governments (RIVERCOG) is holding a summer Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, July 20th, at Woodside Intermediate School in Cromwell from 9am – 1pm. It is free to Middletown (and all RiverCOG) residents. This is an additional collection to the one scheduled on October 12 at Middlesex Community College and we are hoping it will help alleviate the long lines in October!
This collection will accept all kinds of household hazardous waste, including automotive fluids, pool chemicals, cleaners, and lawn chemicals. They also accept latex and oil based paints, but these items can be brought in limited amounts to any PaintCare location anytime throughout the year. In Middletown, the PaintCare location is Ace Hardware on South Main St.
