Information Sessions Slated For Middletown Public Safety Project

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The City of Middletown is conducting informational sessions on a proposed bond issue for this November's ballot.

The sessions are intended to give voters an overview on a proposal that would authorize $10 million dollars for a new Public Safety 911 Center.

The one hour sessions will include a project presentation and time for questions.

The sessions are slated for:

• Monday, Sept. 23 at the South Fire District, 445 Randolph Road at 6:30 p.m.
• Monday, Sept. 30 at the Westfield Fire District, 653 East Street at 6:30 p.m.
• Monday, Oct. 7 at the Middletown Senior Center, 61 Durant Terrace at 2 p.m.

The question on the ballot for the proposed appropriation and bond authorization will read as follows:

Shall the $10,000,000 appropriation and bond authorization for the planning, design, construction, and equipping of a new Public Safety 911 Center be approved?
