Rev. Julia Burkey and Bobbye Peterson held a wonderful Interfaith Prayer Vigil for the victims of the mass shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando. Many people from all over the state attended. Remarks where made by many people including Mayor Drew from Middletown and former Mayor of South Windsor Saud Anwer and local council man.
Music was played and song by The Middletown Comuunity Choir and solo sax player Benjamin Traerup. There was a reading of all the names and bell rings for the people who had lost their lives followed by a silent candle lighting.
There were Prayers said by religious Jewish, Muslim and Christian leaders of all denominations from across the state:
