Jessie Stratton To Speak On Climate Change – Tues. March 29, 7 p.m.
We are honored to bring the Director of Policy at DEEP to speak to Middletown’s environmental community on the state’s policies and plans related to climate change. Ms. Stratton will touch upon such topics as energy sources, transportation, storm intensity, threats to waterways and Long Island Sound, and mitigation and adaptation strategies. Complete Streets Ordinance Adopted
On March 7, Middletown’s Common Council unanimously approved the new ordinance that requires consideration of needs of pedestrians, bicyclists, and wheelchair users in all transportation improvement planning. Riverfront Encounter – May 7 in Harbor Park
Wesleyan’s Feet to the Fire program invites the public to an afternoon of music, activities for children, food vendors, environmental learning opportunities, and general enjoyment of Middletown’s waterfront, from noon to 5 p.m. For those who bicycle to the event (highly encouraged), bike parking will be supervised for security. Canoe and Kayak Trip
The City of Middletown’s Recreation Department is offering a canoe and kayak trip on Sat. May 7, starting at 9 a.m. in Cromwell and ending at Harbor Park.
