K-9 Judge Retires From Middletown Police Department
K-9 Judge is credited with numerous successful tracks and apprehensions, while winning several awards at the CT K-9 Olympics over the years.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The Middletown Police Department said goodbye to K-9 Judge on Wednesday.
K-9 Judge retired after nearly nine years on the force, according to officials.
“Officer Will Maio and K-9 Judge graduated the 156th CSP K9 Class in January of 2013,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “During this time, this incredible K-9 duo has had numerous successful tacks, building searches, evidence recoveries, and suspect apprehensions. There was one day in particular that they tracked and apprehended (2) separate suspects. This day has been referred to as ‘Judge’ment Day.

“In addition to their work on the road they were at several community events and in the schools meeting children and passing out Judge trading cards. They also won several awards over the years at the CT K-9 Olympics!
“We here at MPD will miss seeing K-9 Judge in and around the building and he will surely be missed on calls. We are thinking of Officer Maio during his transition back to patrol without his partner and best friend.
