Late Night Diner Fight Ends in Hospital Trip, Arrest: Middletown Police
Police say a 24-year-old Meriden woman allegedly spit on a security officer at the hospital.

In the early morning hours of June 1, Middletown police were called to the Athenian Diner, 864 Washington St. Toni Jean Orozco, 24, of 321 Cook Ave., Meriden, was identified as one of the women allegedly fighting with each other.
Through the course of Officer Kim’s investigation, it was determined that Orozco was to be transported to Middlesex Hospital for a police emergency evaluation request.
Officer Matthew Bloom said he rode in the back of the ambulance with Orozco and an EMT. Bloom said Orozco’s behavior was allegedly hostile and her speech riddled with obscenities.

Upon arrival at the hospital emergency room, security staff determined Oroczo’s behavior was too hostile and unpredictable. Bloom said she was placed in a four-point restraint.
Orozco allegedly spit on a security officer twice, who told police he wanted the woman to be arrested. She was issued a misdemeanor summons complaint for breach of peace in the second degree for allegedly spitting on the security officer, and a June 11 court date.
