Middletown Arrests: Jan. 29
The following information was provided by the Middletown Police public information officer. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

UNLICENSED DOG, ANNOYANCE BY DOG ON HIGHWAY, PERMIT DOG TO ROAM AT LARGE — A puppy was found roaming loose on Route 9 north near exit 12, the report says, which is owned by Tamba Marino, 48, of Arbutus Street. Police say two of her previous dogs were killed on Route 9 and Marino has been issued numerous tickets for her dogs roaming.

NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUG PARAPHERNALIA NEAR SCHOOL, BREACH OF PEACE — Andrea M. Cruz, 20, of Ferry Street was seen by witnesses fighting in a car with her boyfriend Jevaun A. Phillips, 33, of Collindalle Drive, Meriden, parked in the Luce Restaurant parking lot at Washington and Main streets, according to the report. Cruz had minor injuries to her face and chest, police say, and Phillips was found with a $100 bill that was confirmed as counterfeit by U.S. Secret Service and Cruz had a marijuana grinder with residue. Cruz was charged with the above and Phillips for illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension, first-degree forgery and third-degree assault.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT, THIRD-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF — At 5:58 p.m., police were called to a home on Pearl Street about a domestic dispute involving Rhonda Reed, 49, of Pearl Street. The victim, police say, had his possessions, including suitcases and boxes of clothing scattered on the ground outside. He told officers that he had visited Reed and she grabbed his two inhalers and four medications and threw them on the ground, then stomped on them, crushing them into small pieces. The report indicates Reed told officers he came over and she confronted him about cheating on her with another woman and admitted to destroying his medicine.
