Local Man Killed In Middletown Crash
Police are investigating a Wednesday night fatal crash in Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A local man died in a crash in Middletown Wednesday night.
The accident took place at 11:36 p.m. on Atkins Street in the area of Timber Ridge Road, police said. When they arrived at the scene, officers encountered a 2015 Infinity Q50 in the road with heavy damage, a deployed airbag and a driver trapped the vehicle, according to a news release.
It appeared that the Infinity left the road and struck a tree, according to a news release.

The driver was identified as 30-year-old Matthew Le Clair of Middletown. Le Clair was extricated from the vehicle by a Westfield Fire Department crew but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release.
