Longtime Xavier Football Coach Resigns: Report
Sean Marinan won five state championships in his 15 years as head coach of the Falcons.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Longtime Xavier football coach Sean Marinan has resigned from his coaching and teaching positions at the high school, Jim Bransfield of GameTimeCT.com reports.
Marinan, who won five state championships during his 15 years at the helm of the Falcons, has submitted a letter of resignation to the school, officials confirmed to Bransfield.
Marinan, a 1980 Xavier graduate, compiled a career 121-47-1 record at Xavier and the Falcons finished this season at 6-4.
