‘Luna On The Sound’ Fundraiser To Benefit CT State Middlesex Students
Help generate funds for scholarships to CT State Middlesex students and support faculty innovations.

Middletown, Conn. — The Middlesex Community College Foundation, in support of Connecticut State Community College Middlesex, is set to host Luna on the Sound gala on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.
The foundation invites the public, community members, alumni, faculty and staff to participate in the fundraiser by becoming event sponsors or purchasing tickets. Festivities kick off at 6 p.m. at Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, located at 1525 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, Conn.
The festive gathering aims to generate funds for the foundation’s scholarships, benefiting CT State Middlesex students, as well as supporting faculty innovations that lead to student success.

Attendees at the gala can enjoy a buffet dinner, engage in door prizes, silent and live auctions, as well as dancing, DJ entertainment and much more.
“For the live auction, we have a trip to Greece, several signed sports memorabilia, tickets to a Broadway experience, and much more,” said Laura Pieper, chair of the MxCC Foundation board of directors.

In addition, the silent auction features numerous basket raffles.
For those interested in purchasing tickets at $100 each, please visit the Luna on the Sound website at mxccfoundation.org/luna-gala. An option is available to sponsor tickets for students at a reduced price.
Individuals or organizations interested in becoming an event sponsor can complete an online form or email stacey.burgess@ctstate.edu.
Attendees also have the option to reserve rooms at the Water’s Edge Resort for that night with a 40% discount.

In case of inclement weather, the event will take place on March 27.
The purpose of the Middlesex Community College Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, is to support CT State Middlesex and its students by encouraging and securing charitable contributions to the college through the Foundation, and by managing and directing funds for scholarships, program and faculty development, instructional technology and equipment to create a learning environment that fosters student success.
