Man Napping in City Park in 90+ Degrees Had Outstanding Warrant: Police

Middletown Police report the following incidents:
VIOLATION OF PROBATION — On July 19 at 2:45 p.m., police conducted a property check at McCarthy Park. Police saw Nakengi Jordan, 36, of Main Street on the ground in the 90-degree heat. He woke up and was found with an outstanding warrant.
RISK OF INJURY, BREACH OF PEACE, DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On July 19 at 10:46 p.m., Nicholas J. Carey, 24, of Saybrook Road was at the scene of a domestic on Santangelo Circle involving a 3-month-old girl, where he was highly intoxicated and holding his child. The mother said he came over pushed her and knocked her into a DVD case and was trying to take the baby. A witness confirmed the story.

POSSESSION NARCOTICS — On July 17 at 9:32 p.m. police on Pearl Street approaching Liberty saw a green Civic with dark windows drive through the stop sign. Lester W. McCarthur III, 22, of Main Street. When stopped he appeared to be reaching for something. He was found with two bags of cocaine and one of marijuana. He has a pending case on a marijuana possession.
DUI, IMPROPER SIGNALING — On July 16, Scott A. Morris, 41, of Bailey Road was driving on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive as an officer followed him, witnessing failure to signal at the intersections of Union Street, Church and Broad. He failed field sobriety tests.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE, FAILURE TO SIGNAL — On July 16, Joshua M. Gaffney, 27, of Cross Street, Portland, was driving on Hartford Avenue.
VIOLATION OF PROBATION — On July 8, Nicholas A. Minor, 25, of Dead Hill Road, Durham, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant from Woodbury Circle on July 28, 2010.
