Man On Parole Caught Selling Drugs: Middletown Police

Detectives have been investigating reports of drug activity in the area, according to police.

MIDDLETOWN, CT —A man out on parole was caught selling drugs in Middletown on Tuesday night, according to police.

Police said the department’s Street Crimes Unit has been investigating reports of drug sales in the area of Main Street and Liberty Street. The Street Crimes Unit regularly receives information regarding illegal drug activity from reliable informants, people who have been arrested, concerned residents, anonymous callers and other police officers, according to officials.

Members of the Middletown Police Street Crime Unit were in the area of Main and Liberty streets on Tuesday night and saw a narcotics transaction take place and arrested Christopher White, who was seen selling the drugs, according to police.

White, 26, was charged with possession of narcotics and sale of narcotics. He was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 29.

Police said White was also found to be out on parole and had been released from the Department of Correction earlier this year. His arrest information was forwarded to his parole officer and a remand document was filed by the Department of Corrections, according to police.
