Man Rescued From Connecticut River In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A man was rescued from the Connecticut River in Middletown on Wednesday morning, according to multiple reports.

WFSB 3 reports the incident was reported around 8 a.m. in the area of 1 Harbor Drive near the swing bridge. (To sign up for Middletown breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The man was conscious at the time and was taken to the hospital, according to the Middletown Press.

Firefighters reported on social media Wednesday morning that they were responding to the Connecticut River on the report of a person stuck on the lower brownstone pillar.
