On Sunday, March 3, 2019, at 10AM, I will lead a walk sponsored by Middletown Recreation Division, at Long Hill Estate, a 103-acre estate owned by the city. Click: Here For February's Nature Walk
There is an event at the Wadsworth Mansion on Sunday morning, so we need to park at Snow Elementary School, 299 Wadsworth St, Middletown, CT 06457 , instead. So the modified directions are:
Take Route 66, to West St (Walgreen's and Aldi's on the corner) and go south until it ends at Wadsworth Street. Snow School is directly in front of you, but the entrance driveway requires you to turn right (west) onto Wadsworth and go a short distance, then left into the school entrance. We will gather on the right side of the building, as you face it. (GPS: 299 Wadsworth St, Middletown, CT 06457)

NOTE: There is work being done on the West Street bridge, just after you turn from Route 66/Washington Street. If it is closed, turn right just before the bridge, follow that ~ a half mile, and take the first left, which is a very, very sharp turn to the left. You will then backtrack the half mile to West Street, where you turn right to resume your trip.
Because of today's snow, be sure to wear appropriate foot gear, bring any needed walking sticks, etc. We will modify the route if necessary.
