The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Committee of Greater Middletown hosts its 23rd annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration at noon at First Church of Christ, Congregational, Middletown.

Keynote speaker is Dr. Lois Brown, director of the Center for African American Studies at Wesleyan University. There will be inspirational remarks at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and Main Street, followed by the celebration at First Church of Christ. This year’s celebration will showcase youth as a key part of the program. Free.
