Lucy Meigs, executive director of Everyone Outsidewill speak about the importance of nature connection for environmental stewardship at the February Meet Your Greens. Lucy founded Everyone Outside in 2010 after successfully launching Women of the Woods (WoW) in 2008 and volunteering as a naturalist for Connecticut Forest & Park’s guided walks for several years. Everyone Outside is a non-profit organization that promotes personal connection with the natural world for children and adults. Their programs include guided hikes and outdoor activities, school programs and field trips, free classroom curriculum, after-school programs and volunteer opportunities. Everyone Outside’s interactive website,www.everyoneoutside.org, offers suggested places to explore, tips on identifying animal tracks, and teacher resources.
