Mercy High School Runners Qualify for New England Championships
A pair of Mercy girls placed in the top 12 at the State Open cross country championships Friday to earn their berths.
Mercy High School will be represented at the New England Cross Country Championships next weekend, as a pair of runners will compete based on their outstanding showing in Friday’s State Open at Wickham Park in Manchester.
Senior Mackenzie Pias placed sixth overall, while junior Bridgid Selfors was 11th.
The top six teams and first 25 individuals at the State Open earned berths in the New Englands, to be run Saturday, Nov. 14 at Thetford Academy, just outside of White River Junction, VT.
