Mercy, Middletown Move Up in Latest Girls Basketball Poll

The Tigers and Blue Dragons both improved their positions in the most recent weekly rankings.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Capital Prep retained its position atop the girls basketball polls in the latest weekly balloting by members of the Connecticut sports media.

Despite a Sunday loss to powerful Rutgers Prep in New Jersey, the Trailblazers continue to dominate state teams, winning every in-state regular season game for more than five years.

Mercy moved up a spot to the number six ranking, while Middletown entered the top 10 at number nine.
