Middletown Advances to American Legion U19 Baseball Regionals

MIDDLETOWN, CT - After a perfect weekend of high-powered offense, the Middletown U19 American Legion baseball team has advanced to the Southern Regional bracket of the state tournament.

Middletown, the 20th seed, defeated Trumbull 7-5 in the sectional opener Saturday, then topped Monroe 7-3 Sunday to earn a berth in the regionals. They will take on No. 4 Cheshire Wednesday.
