Middletown Canine Cop Celebrates A Birthday

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A popular member of the Middletown Police Department celebrated a burthday Thursday.

Police dog Kylo turned 2.

"Please help us wish K-9 Kylo a happy 2nd Birthday," police wrote in a social media post. "We have been assured he has the day off and is being spoiled appropriately."

Middletown police officer Nicolas Capozzo and Kylo, graduated from the 235th Connectiucut State Police K-9 Patrol Class in May.

Kylo is a German Shepherd from Slovakia who has been trained in building searches, criminal apprehension, obedience, human trafficking, evidence recovery and handler protection.
