MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown police are investigating a serious motor vehicle accident involving a car and a motorcycle on Country Club Road.

The call came in at about 6 p.m., police said.

According to the Middletown Police Department, the crash prompted the closure of Country Club Road at Four Corners and Miner Street.

LifeStar responded to the scene, according to the police department. The motorcycle operator, though, was transported by ambulance to MidState Medical Center, the department reported.
