MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown police this week had a straightforward message to those riding bicycles downtown.

Stay off the sidewalks.

"We would like to remind residents and those visiting the City of Middletown, per our City Ordinance, you cannot ride bicycles on sidewalks on Main Street," Police said. "Pedestrian safety is of the utmost importance."
