MIDDLETOWN, CT — Two more Middletown residents have died from complications of the new coronavirus, Mayor Ben Florsheim announced Thursday. One of the residents was in their 80s and one was in their 90s, according to Florsheim.

Both residents were hospitalized at Middlesex Health. There are 77 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Middletown, including three deaths, according to Florsheim.

The city’s first COVID-19 related death was announced Wednesday.
