MIDDLETOWN, CT — Firefighters have been known to rescue cats from trees, but Friday morning presented a unique situation in Middletown when a dog was rescued from a roof.

The owner told Steele that the dog, Ridick, is a “Houdini and can open doors, unlock windows, and then open them.” Ridick had been locked downstairs but made his way out to say hello, Steele wrote on her blog.
