Middletown High School Ranked in Top 10 in Preseason Boys Basketball Poll

The Blue Dragons lost in the Class L state final last season.

Boys basketball kicks off the regular season Saturday for some Connecticut high schools, with most teams seeing action by Monday night, and the initial GameTimeCT/Register poll has been released.

Defending Class LL champion Hillhouse earned the top ranking, receiving 16 first-place votes among the 19 ballots cast by Connecticut sports journalists.

The top 10 teams, with first-place votes in parentheses, are:
