Middletown High Student Wins Merit Scholarship

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Middletown High School student earned college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships. More than 3,500 students from across the country were awarded with awards ranging from $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years.

In total more than $31 million is awarded in National Merit Scholarships through college-sponsored programs and other awards.

Matthew Lecky received a scholarship from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He plans to study chemistry.
