Middletown To Hold Spring Paper Shredding Event
The city will hold a paper shredding recycling event, which is for Middletown residents only.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — (Press release from the City of Middletown): In celebration of Earth Day, the City of Middletown will hold a paper shredding recycling event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 30 at the Palmer Field Parking lot in Middletown.
The event is for Middletown residents only. Donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted for Amazing Grace Food Pantry.
Paper Shredding will be available in the parking lot on Bernie O'Rourke Drive. Each vehicle will be limited to five boxes or bags of residential papers. No businesses allowed. No media. No binder clips. Paper clips and staples are acceptable. Please note we are not accepting papers in plastic bags. Please use cardboard boxes or paper bags.

Residents are asked to bring sensitive documents only, such as tax documents, bank statements, pay stubs, and medical records. No newspapers, flyers, or miscellaneous junk mail. It is important to sort what you want shredded before you come, so that there is room for everyone to participate. Once the truck is full, the event must be closed.
Additional paper shred events are being held by the Lower CT River Council of Governments and Middletown residents are welcome to attend these. Those events will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon (please note time is different from the April 30 event);
