Middletown House Fire Displaces 3 Residents

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Three people were displaced by a weekend house fire in Middletown.

The blaze broke out along with 300 block of East Street at 6:09 p.m. Sunday, fire officials said.

Firefighters encountered heavy smoke coming from the eaves of the home. The Westfield Fire Department, along with crews from Middletown, the South District, Cromwell, Middlefield and East Berlin all responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Three residents were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

The fire is under investigation by the Westfield Fire Marshal's office.
