Middletown House Fire Sends Resident, Firefighter To Hospital
Four people escaped the East Street fire, and one firefighter suffered minor burns, according to Westfield fire officials.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Four residents escaped a house fire in Middletown on Sunday night, and one firefighter suffered minor burns during the response, according to Westfield fire officials.
The call came in at 8:21 p.m. at 98 East St. in the Westfield section of the city, according to fire officials. Middletown Fire, South Fire District, Middlefield and Cromwell fire departments responded
Of the four residents, one was transported to Middlesex Hospital, while the other three were not injured, according to the department. One firefighter sustained minor burns and was treated at the hospital, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Westfield Fire Marshal's Office, according to the department.
