Middletown Man Late to Class Issued Misdemeanor for Speeding
The officer said the man appeared to be sincere in his explanation.

Middletown Police Officer Douglas Clark was conducting speed enforcement from a parking lot at 471 Washington St. when he observed a car traveling at a high rate of speed.
Clark checked the speed of the car twice and noted it was 80 mph and then 77 mph. The speed limit on the road is 35 mph, according to the police report.
“The accused was stopped on Newfield Street near Washington Street,” Clark wrote in the report. “During the traffic stop, the accused acknowledged that he was speeding, stating that he was late for class at Porter & Chester Institute.
