Middletown Man Leaves Kids in Running Truck for 30 Minutes, Police Say
A Middletown father was arrested after allegedly leaving his children alone in a running truck for a half an hour, according to police.

A Middletown father allegedly left his two children alone in a running truck for 30 minutes while he paid a bill somewhere in Melilli Plaza in Middletown on Monday, August 11, NBC Connecticut reports.
His children, ages 2 and 4, were not injured. The car was left running with the air conditioning on and a window open, police said. Father William Clayton, 38, was arrested on two counts of risk of injury to a minor, according to WTNH.
The Hartford Courant reports a court date of Monday, August 25, and notes that the state Department of Children and Families was notified.
