Middletown Man Steals Car From Maine: Police
The 22-year-old was arrested on a charge of motor vehicle theft.

On Aug. 26 at 5:30 p.m., Middletown resident Lawrence Young III, was taken into custody for violations of:
- Larceny in the third degree
- Criminal trover in the second degree
Criminal trover refers to allegedly using a car without consent of the owner, resulting in damage to the vehicle.
Young was found to be in possession of a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer that was reported stolen from Lewiston, Maine, on Aug. 22.

The car had an approximate value of $2,000 and was fond to have some dents to the passenger rear quarter panel and bumper, that had not been there prior to the alleged theft, according to the owner.
Young, 22, of 22 Green St., Middletown, was assigned a $5,000 surety bond. He was expected in court on Aug. 27.
