Middletown Moves Back Into Top 10 of Latest Boys Basketball Rankings

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Once again, Hillhouse High School was deemed the top boys basketball team in the state by members of the Connecticut media.

The undefeated Academics received 17 of 20 first-place votes in the latest weekly balloting.

Middletown High School jumped back into the top 10, placing eighth in the most recent rankings.

Here are the top 10 with records through Jan. 15:

2. Notre Dame-West Haven (8-0)
3. Sacred Heart (6-0)
4. East Hartford (8-0)
5. Weaver (7-2)
6. East Catholic (6-1)
7. Fairfield Warde (8-0)

10. South Windsor (7-1)

Also receiving votes: Wilbur Cross (7-2), Danbury (7-2), Wilton (7-0), Notre Dame-Fairfield (6-1), Crosby (7-2), Holy Cross (7-1), Bassick (6-1), Norwich Free Academy (7-1), Trumbull (8-1), Bloomfield (6-2), Kennedy (7-1), Ledyard (6-2), Lewis Mills (8-1), Westbrook (8-1).
