Middletown PD Hands Out 200+ Distracted Driving Tickets

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown Police handed out 264 tickets as part of the U Drive. U Text. U Pay campaign against distracted driving.

The campaign took place between April 2 and 30 where officers in unmarked vehicles or spotter locations were assigned to look for drivers on their phones.

First time violators are subject to a $150 fine.
