Middletown Police Pay Their Respects at Funeral of Slain NYPD Officer Ramos
The funeral was held on Dec. 27.

Members of the Middletown Police Department were in attendance at the funeral of New York Police Department Detective Rafael Ramos.
According to the Huffington Post, more than 200,000 police officers and others wishing to pay their respects were in attendance at the funeral held on Saturday. Vice President Joe Biden, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo also attended the funeral.
Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos were killed by a Baltimore man “execution style” while they were sitting in a patrol car in the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn on Dec. 20. Ismaayil Brinsley, 28, shot the officers possibly in revenge for incidents of police brutality.
