Middletown Radio Station Honors Longtime Staffer

Full-time staffer Paul Kretschmer was recently honored for 40 years of service.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — (Contributed): WIHS 104.9 FM Christian radio, located at 1933 South Main St. in Middletown, recently honored full-time staffer Paul Kretschmer for 40 years of service.

In this photo, Kretschmer receives a certificate of appreciation from General Manager Steve Tuzeneu. Kretchmer serves as News Director, host of the WIHS Journal public affairs program, and as an on-air announcer.

A native of Iowa, Kretschmer landed a job at WIHS in 1981 and has spent his entire professional radio career at the non-profit, commercial-free radio ministry operated by Connecticut Radio Fellowship. The station operates 24/7 on the air and online, sharing hope and encouragement from a Christian perspective.
