Middletown’s Clean Energy Task Force
Is Participating in Solarize Connecticut's Program

Middletown’s Clean Energy Task Force is about to announce that Middletown is participating in an award-winning residential solar program called Solarize Connecticut. Sparked by the Connecticut Green Bank, Solarize Connecticut campaigns in over 65 communities have resulted in more than 2300 households installing over 18 MW of solar capacity. This helps our electrical grid rely less on fossil fuels.
Until February 3, 2017, Middletown residents will have the opportunity to purchase solar PV for their homes at a price significantly below market rates. This is because of the City’s exclusive agreement with Sunlight Solar. It’s a way for the City of Middletown to help homeowners reduce their household operating expenses while using clean energy.
