Middletown Sanitation District and Recycling Center November Holiday Schedule
Veteran’s Day Holiday Schedule:
In honor of Veteran’s Day, the Middletown Sanitation District will not be operating on Thursday, November 11th. Both trash and recycling will be picked up for Thursday and Friday customers on Friday, November 12th. Carts should be placed at the curb Thursday evening for those customers.
The Recycling Center will be closed on Thursday, November 11 and open regular hours on Friday and Saturday, November 12 & 13.

Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule
The Sanitation District will not be operating on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 25. Customers who have collection on Thursday & Friday that Thanksgiving week should put their carts out Thursday evening night for Friday pick up on November 26.
The Recycling Center will be closed on Thursday, November 25. It will be open on Friday, November 26, 7:00 a.m.—2:45 p.m. and Saturday, November 27, 7:00 a.m.—11:45 a.m.
Please note, as we head into this holiday season, the Sanitation District will only pick up items that fit in your cart.

Excess recyclables can be brought to the Recycling Center at no charge. The only exception, in the Sanitation District, is corrugated cardboard boxes which can be flattened and bundled and placed next to your recycling cart. However, pick up may not be on the same day as your recycling and trash. For immediate removal, large amounts of corrugated boxes can also be brought directly to the Recycling Center and deposited in the cardboard compactor. Cardboard is very valuable, so please make every effort to recycle it properly.
Food waste can also be segregated and brought to the Recycling Center or the drop off at 675 Randolph Road at no charge. We are happy to take turkey carcasses and rotten leftovers! Food waste must be loose or placed in paper bags or BPI certified compostable bags. No plastic bags and no plastic containers are allowed with the food waste.
