Middletown Senior Center Scaling Back Programs

Starting Thursday March 121th

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL SENIOR CENTER MEMBERS
EFFECTIVE MARCH 12TH TO APRIL 30TH

In an abundance of caution and following the recommendations of the CDC and the City of Middletown regarding COVID-19, the Senior Center is scaling back its program offerings through the month of April.

Per order of the Mayor, starting Thursday, March 12, 2020 - there will be no bus trips or purely social activities at the Middletown Senior Center. We will continue our exercise classes and sanitize after each class. We will maintain health programs such as Blood Pressure and Foot care. We will maintain lecture style programming with limited capacity. Any room that is not in use for a specific program will be closed to the public to ensure we can focus on sanitizing rooms in use. We will not allow informal groups to gather and socialize, and the coffee station will be closed. The CRT congregate meal program will continue to run at 12pm unless CRT decides to suspend it.

This is subject to change as the situation evolves in our state. We appreciate your patience – our primary concern is the well-being of our members who are the most vulnerable population in regards to COVID-19. We will continue to monitor and keep you informed about May programming and any additional restrictions.

We will be applying credits to your accounts for any paid programming that is cancelled. We will make every effort to reschedule programs for later in the year. As always, if you aren’t feeling well or are exhibiting symptoms, contact your health provider and please don’t come into the center.
