Hi Everyone, It's hard to believe it's been 7 weeks already! The latest update we've received from the Mayor is the building is closed through May 24th. This is just an update and may be extended. The City has formed a committee to work on guidelines for what reopening the City will look like. We will keep you informed as soon as we hear about any new rules.
I'm writing today with some exciting news. We now have online programming! If you are reading this message, then you should have everything you need to get started. Online programming can be accessed through a pc, laptop, tablet, or smart phone. So far, we have Exercise with Jane, Tai Chi, Qigong, Guided Meditation, and Trivia Tuesdays. Diane is in the process of working on Zumba videos. We've also scoured the internet looking for the best virtual tours (zoos, museums, aquariums, national parks, etc.), craft projects, cooking and baking videos, entertainment (nostalgic tv, music, etc.), covid-19 videos, and computer and technical resources. We've organized these resources and put them into playlists and have them featured on our YouTube channel. The best part is that you can view these programs at your leisure on your own schedule!
The June newsletters were mailed out on Friday so you should be receiving them soon! Here is a brief explanation of where you can access the information:
