Middletown Senior Center Bus Trip To Mount Tom State Park

Then For Lunch At The Village Restaurant

The bus trip was for seniors to climb to the summit, and then unwind and rejuvenate with time by the pond. The short, one mile tower trail led to a 34-foot tower atop the summit with one of the best views in the state.

Established over a century ago in 1915, Mount Tom is one of the oldest parks in the state park system. Named for the mountain within its boundaries, the summit of Mount Tom is 1,325 feet above sea level, 125 feet higher than its Massachusetts counterpart.
