This morning, I got a call from the YMCA, Kuhn Employment Opportunities, and Habitat for Humanity. We Talked for a while about the mission of this walk event. It was designed to be a collaborative effort, putting together a family centered, outdoor fun day. It was our intent to showcase the awesome human services work being done by the non-profit community here in Middlesex County, all the while offering a fun and entertaining experience.
Then the weatherman said 'loads of rain and no fun for May 5th, so we postponed. Now the weatherman is saying bad weather again for this Sunday. And, it's Mother's Day too!

We don't want families coming out to support us in 50 degree weather, a cold rain making the day and its memory a poor one. Collectively we decided to push this event to mid-summer.
We don't have a final date yet, but we will use the time wisely. We will make sure that we bring our best efforts to make a fun, outdoor family event that you will want to come to and bring your family year after year. We will announce the date by the end of May, and will have an even better planned afternoon for you.

Please forgive the weatherman or woman. It truly isn't their fault. This is just the rainiest Spring in decades, and we couldn't have anticipated this fact.
Thank you for your support, your enthusiasm and your patience.
Best always - and enjoy your Mother's Day weekend,
Peter Keast from St Vincent de Paul!
