Middletown's Memorial Day Weekend Events

Monday's Main Street Parade And Saturday's Flag's At Veteran's Cemetery

Saturday, May 27, 2023, starting at 9:00am sharp at the CT. State Veterans Cemetery located on Bow Lane in Middletown, approximately 13,000 American Flags will be placed to honor and show respect at the final resting place of those Veterans that are no longer with us who served our Country.

Retrieval of the Flags will be the following week, Saturday, June 3th at 9:00am weather permitting.

Veteran groups, Scout Troops, Youth Groups, Public, Community Organizations, and all that have assisted all these years in honoring and remembering those Veterans who served our Country are welcome to show their sacrifices are “NOT FORGOTTEN”.

Flags will be onsite and you do not need to register or call, just please show up by 9:00am on Saturday, May 27th, RAIN OR SHINE....

On Memorial Day, the 29th, the Middletown Memorial Day parade will step off from Spring Street at 10:30 am and proceed down Main Street to the South Green. This year's theme is to honor the Tomb of the Unknown which a replica will lead the parade by the Elk 771 Veterans of Middletown. Following the end of the parade, around 12 noon, a ceremony will be held at the South Green.

At 2:00pm, a ceremony will be held at the CT. State Veterans Cemetery located on Bow Lane in Middletown.
