Middletown's Nature Walk At Highlawn Forest

Is Sunday Dec 12th @10m

Hi All,

On Sunday, December 12, at 10AM, I will lead a walk sponsored by Middletown Recreation Division at Highlawn Forest. This 275-acre preserve, under easement to CFPA, includes plantations, forests, and swamps.

This trip, primarily level and easy, with a short area of incline, will last ~1.5 hours. Dress for the weather, wear hiking shoes, and bring a light snack and water. Children under age 16 must attend with an adult 18+.

Cancelled if inclement weather. Email me (Beth@BethLapin.com) with questions or that morning, call 860 262 2788.

The Middletown Rec office has set up a new registration system and would appreciate anyone going on hikes to set up an account on it,so they can document participation -- and keep the nature hikes program going! I registered myself and it wasn't hard -- please take a minute to sign up: https://myrec.middletownct.gov/info/household/add_step_01.aspx

Once you set up the account, the Rec office will register you for the hike afterwards from the sign-in sheets, or you can register for hikes (and any other Rec office programs) directly. But if you haven't set up an account, they can't register you and the hike count will show up lower then it actually was. Questions to the Rec Office: 860 638 4500
