
"Mom, Apple Pie, and Broadway:" A Discussion of Patriotism in the American Musical Monday, June 17th from 6:30pm - 8:00pm in The Russell Library Hubbard Room.
A lively discussion of patriotism in the American Musical with conductor Wade Russo. Wade is the Assistant Music Director at Goodspeed Musicals, where he has worked on 28 productions, including The Music Man, playing this season at the opera house. His Broadway credits include By Jeeves and The Boyfriend, directed by Julie Andrews. He has also collaborated on projects at the Huntington Theatre, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Asolo Theatre, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. Barrington Stage, Lyric Theatre, and New Rpertory Theatre of Boston, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Gateway Playhouse, and Weston Playhouse. He received the St. Louis Critics Award as Outstanding Musical Director/Conductor for Sunday in the Park with George in 2013.
Wade has taught at Circle in the Square Theatre School, The Julliard School, Point Park University, and Boston Conservatory.
