Motorcycle Crash Closes Road In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Emergency crews are at the scene of a serious accident involving a motorcycle and a car on lower Washington Street, according to fire officials.

Washington Street is closed from Main Street to DeKoven Drive, officials said.

“Please avoid the area as we know this is a very busy route to get onto Rt 9 southbound,” officials wrote on the City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073 union’s Facebook page. “Seek alternate routes.”
