New State Troopers Receive Their Assignments
A roster of new state troopers will be patrolling Connecticut.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Connecticut State Police have 24 new troopers who graduated Thursday as members of the of the 135th Training Troop.
Connecticut State Police Commander Col. Daniel Loughman presided over Thursday's graduation ceremony, which took place at Central Connecticut State University, and Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz was a guest speaker.
The 135th Training Troop entered the Connecticut State Police Training Academy on Jan. 26. In total, the class completed 28 weeks and more than 1,500 hours of training both online and in person. In addition to classwork, the recruits spent many hours on physical conditioning, driving, firearms, active shooter response, experiential training and other specialized areas of police work.

The 24 members of this class includes 19 men and 5 women. Members of the 135th Training Troop have diverse backgrounds, training and experience. Some are former municipal police officers or correction officers; some have been trained as firefighters and EMTs and some have military backgrounds.
The youngest member of the class is 21 years old and the oldest is 40 years old.

The graduating Troopers will be assigned as follows:
- Troop A, Southbury – 1 new Trooper
- Troop B, Canaan – 2 new Troopers
- Troop C, Tolland – 3 new Troopers
- Troop D, Danielson – 2 new Troopers
- Troop E, Montville – 3 new Troopers
- Troop F, Westbrook – 2 new Troopers
- Troop G, Bridgeport – 3 new Troopers
- Troop H, Hartford – 4 new Troopers
- Troop I, Bethany – 1 new Trooper
- Troop K, Colchester – 1 new Trooper
- Troop L, Litchfield – 2 new Troopers
