New Waterfront Dining Experience Opens In Middletown
Tate's in Middletown is adding a new flair to its sister restaurants.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — There's a new waterfront dining experience in Middletown.
Welcome to Tate's, a family restaurant with an emphasis on seafood. Tate's opened this week inside harbor Park at 80 Harbor Drive. It's a sister restaurant to Eli Canons in Middletown and is at the former location of the canoe club.
"A family friendly restaurant within Harbor Park ... Our focus is on approachable, comfort food," a billing on the Tate's website says.

Tate's joins Eli Cannon's Brewing Collective, The Dragon Shack and Two Good Neighbors Coffee & Creamery bar.
The starters at Tate's include chowder, grilled oysters, Thai chili mussels and crab cakes.

Tuna nachos are arguably the most unique item from the raw bar.
Sandwich offerings include seafood, chicken and burgers.
Aside from seafood, entrees include a gorgonzola ribeye steak.

The Dragon Shack is a unique collaboration with Middletown High School with walk-up items like hot dogs, burgers, chicken tenders and fries on the menu. A portion of the proceeds is donated to the MHS senior class.
