'Next Generation' Dunkin' Opens In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The state’s latest “Next Generation” Dunkin’ store officially opened in Middletown this week. To celebrate the opening, Dunkin’ will host a grand-opening event at the restaurant, 613 Washington St., on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, will include an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Ben Florsheim and a grant presentation to Middletown Recreation & Community Services. Attendees will get a glimpse at the new modern design and in-store innovations, including an array of new and exciting elements like the cold beverage tap system, according to officials.

Event festivities will also include photos with Santa, a complimentary toy to children, and a $5 Dunkin’ gift card for guests (while supplies last), plus samples, giveaways, and more.

“We are thrilled to be a part of Dunkin’s next generation store initiative and can’t wait to bring this innovative new restaurant to the Middletown community,” Dunkin’ franchisee Michael Batista said. “The new menu offerings and approachable atmosphere will grab the attention of Dunkin’ fans and help keep Middletown running on Dunkin’ for years to come.”

The new 2,800-square foot Middletown location is only the one of 50 or more new and remodeled Dunkin’ restaurants featuring the new design this year, according to officials.

Modern Design: The openness, colors and materials used in the design help to create an approachable, positive and energetic environment.

Premium Pours: Dunkin’s signature cold beverages are now served through an innovative tap system serving eight consistently cold beverages such as coffees, iced teas, cold brew coffee and nitro infused cold brew coffee. Crew members will also use top-quality flavor-maximizing espresso machines to make hand-crafted drinks to order.

Dunkin’ on Demand: Dunkin’ has introduced an area dedicated to mobile pickups, so that members of the DD Perks® Rewards program who order ahead via Dunkin’s Mobile App can get in and out of the restaurant faster than ever before. Guests will be able to track the status of their orders placed for pickup inside the restaurant via a new digital order status board.
