Night Shift Brewing Expanding To CT

The popular Massachusetts microbrewery will have beers available in Connecticut.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Massachusetts-based Night Shift Brewing will soon be able to be purchased in Connecticut. The company is expanding into its fourth state and will be available in restaurants, bars and big retailers like Total Wine in Connecticut.

The co-owners of the company started brewing in 2007 as a hobby and established a full-time brewery in 2012. They now expect to brew 40,000 barrels of beer this year.

"The interest and passion shown on social media and at our taproom from Connecticut fans has been overwhelming," said Co-founder Michael Oxton. "When we talked about and looked at neighboring states to sell our beer, CT was the right choice based on consumer interest."

Night Shift has several different styles of beers including American pale ale Whirlpool, American IPA Santilli and light lagers Nite Lite and Lime Lite, which will compete with the macrobrewery market for light beers.

The company is celebrating their expansion at Celtic Cavern in Middletown June 6.
